Senior Landscape/Civils Engineer required for World Cup FM O&M Project

We require a Landscape/Civils Engineer is required to join our SC2022 FIFA World Cup stadium team based at the Lusail Stadium site from January 2019

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Botany, Agriculture, Horticulture or equivalent.

• Minimum 8 years' experience in landscape maintenance of large-scale projects with a high concentration in facilities management experience with at least (5) years working in the GCC

• Local GCC experience in turf and irrigation system management is essential

• Able to coordinate and monitor all disciplines of hard and soft landscape works and civils works related to all Venues.

• This includes management and co-ordination of the Service Providers, Sub Service Providers

• Able to control Service Providers, Sub Service Providers in conformance with contract documents, drawings, and specifications. This includes working knowledge with local and international specifications

• Able to monitor progress of Works and carry out updating, planning and preparing progress reports as required

• Team player and able to work under pressure and with different nationalities and cultures across a broad range of sub-contractors

KEY TASK & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performing landscape operation design review across a diverse portfolio of facilities and landscape types

• Responsible for landscape maintenance scope development scope management of all landscape packages

• Must be capable of managing a program of integrated landscape works with multiple stakeholders and project partners

• Responsible for the management of the Landscape Service Providers performance and adherence to budget and schedule

• Reviews and/or prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other landscape documents as necessary

• Responsible to review & updating as-built drawings of all landscape related matters

• Assist in preparing RFPS for service providers regarding all landscape packages

• Works with the Service providers to define workable landscape solutions as required for the maintenance & operation

• Conducts periodic inspections to determine if landscape works have been done in accordance with contract specifications

Prepares periodic special reports summarizing landscape issues related to maintenance activities for review and approval

• Responsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the landscape maintenance activities

• Responsible for contributing to overall project objectives and specific team deliverables

• Attend regular venue inspections and ensure landscaping planning operations are carried out smoothly

• KPI’s of the contract and service delivery contractors are met as a minimum

• Ensure the safe and cost-effective operation of the venue landscaping and civil services

• Constant review and update of manpower needs for the Operations

• In conjunction with the CAFM manager and PPM planner, plan the planned and preventative maintenance for all landscaping works

• Monitor and evaluate the productivity of the landscaping subcontractor staff

• Support the implementation of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) related activities and programs

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• HNC, Diploma / Degree holder (Desirable) in any discipline and/or professional certifications in Soft Services Disciplines such as Cleaning/housekeeping preferred.
BICS Accredited and BICS Trainer certification held desirable.
Minimum 5 years working experience in the provision of supervising cleaning, pest control and waste management services and cleaning of Building Operations (eg: Facade and roof cleaning), in environment (eg: open space), etc.

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical discipline.

  • Minimum of 8 years working experience in HVAC, Mechanical and Plumbing systems
