Responsibilities:
As a Health & Safety Officer (Arabic), you will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and clients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Effectively communicate safety policies, procedures, and guidelines in Arabic to ensure clear understanding among all team members.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to address and mitigate identified risks.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs in Arabic to educate employees on best practices, emergency procedures, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Lead investigations into accidents, near misses, and other incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions..
- Maintain detailed records of incidents and their resolutions.
- Stay up-to-date with local health and safety regulations in Qatar and ensure the company's compliance with these standards.
- Assist in obtaining necessary certifications and approvals related to health and safety.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans, ensuring that all employees are familiar with procedures for various emergency scenarios.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on safety performance, including key metrics and recommendations for improvement.
- Work closely with other departments to foster a culture of safety and integrate safety considerations into all aspects of operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSc in Engineering or any technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years working experience in Environment, Health and Safety in building operations, etc.
- Good knowledge of local health and safety governing rules and control measures.
