Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Purchasing/Procurement Officer to buy goods and services necessary for our business. You have the means and opportunity to raise our profits by making the most high-quality and cost-effective purchases.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
- Assess, manage, and mitigate risks.
- Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years working experience in Procurement Industry (Facilities / Property Management)
- Knowledgeable in the Middle East procurement markets and have a wide list of contacts
- Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.
- Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgment.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships.
- Comfortable with figures and collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data.
- Solid judgment with the ability to make good decisions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
